Wow. What an absolutely enticing scent. When I first sniffed, I thought it was lovely but perhaps a bit too strong and sweet…. Then I put it on my skin and the magic began. I found myself sniffing my wrists over and over and have fallen in love with this scent. It is absolutely stunning. I don’t believe I’ve ever smelled any perfume quite like this beauty.

Rose Musks

This reminds me a lot of Roses Musks without the powdery old fashioned dry down.

As it settles on my skin, the vanilla finally appears, as the green accord seems to become slightly diminished.

One of my holy grails - and I don't even tend to like rose!

It's just stunning. Elegant and soothing, like living in an oil painting. The rose is gorgeous but not punchy, the vanilla is glowing but not gourmand, and the beeswax is a waxy honey note that starts off a little bit sour, like buttermilk, which adds so much complexity to the rose and the sweet vanilla. It lasts (faintly) all day, and by the evening it becomes a warm and fuzzy vanilla.

Love love

Other reviewers have covered why it's so pretty. On my skin on a warm day, the rose becomes really chewy, almost tinged with caramel. The overall effect is wandering a county fair as dusk falls. A romantic version of a county fair, mind you. I let someone take my samples, and my full size bottle is an ocean away, and I MISS THIS SCENT.

Soft, beautiful and sweet

I knew I wanted to try this one after seeing several reviews describe it as a living oil painting. On first application, the rose comes off very fruity to me, almost reminding me of fruit punch. The vanilla elegantly mingles with the beeswax to add a delectable creaminess and a glowing warmth, like dipping your hands in hot wax. Although I know I would love this so much more if the rose was less sugared and more realistic, I understand why this scent receives the praise it does. It has great longevity and lasted on my skin well into the next morning. It’s clear how so many find this to be reminiscent of a Renaissance painting, as the flickering effect of the candlelight brings to mind the contrast of light and shadow through a romantic chiaroscuro effect.
