Warm Sweet Decay

this is such a unique scent. absolutely got this because it sounded so odd but interesting and I'm glad I did! in bottle, this smells sharp and woodsy with an odd kind of sweetness. on though, it smells like wood chips and old farm barns, but not exactly like in reality but like how I remember that smelling in the rose colored glasses view of childhood nostalgia. the fresh cut hay really comes forward, coming off warm and bright. as it ages it takes on an almost vanilla sweetness, like the pleasant natural decay that occurs in old books. it holds that sweetness until it fades entirely, a good 8 hrs later. an excellent end of summer/early fall scent!

I bought a sample of this on a whim, I like to try avante-garde perfumes every now and again just for fun. I was not expecting how much I would like this scent! It is much more complex than I was expecting. It's not so much the just literal smell of grain (though it is there), but a wonderful interpretation of it. I do get the impression of being in a golden field, and there is an underlying element of smokiness and honeyed sweetness that really pulls everything together. This has become my go-to autumn scent for when I want to smell a little refined (no pun intended).
