What a spectacular black tea

This is a fantastic black tea perfume— just like opening a paper bag full of a dried black tea blend: sweet but only because of the mimosa nectar and bits of dried peaches, no added sugar necessary. There’s a distinct creamy muskiness that happens between the mimosa and suede— there’s no leather, just animalic fuzziness that hugs the nose. It’s sensual but playful all the same. This one is also very artistic and perhaps one of my favorite cats in the collection. This one has me wishing NCD offered alcohol extrait sprays as well, because this one would be so perfect with more sillage.

Stunning

I recently discovered the beautiful mimosa tree with its intoxicating smell, so as soon as I saw that Siamese Cat had a mimosa blossom note, I knew I had to try it. This is very sweet as it opens on the skin, but not in a cloying way whatsoever. The tobacco flower is a note that is new to me. I had to Google it to see how it smells, but I definitely get a fresh, almost apple-like impression from it. More of the peach skin note starts to appear as it dries down and although the mimosa blossom is subtle, it is there in the daintiest way. It doesn’t take long for the black tea to become the star of the show here as the scent loses most of its sweetness. I got around 5 hours before this one even began to fade, so that’s another +1 in my book. The black tea combined with the suede gives off a studious vibe to me, but the gentle sweetness underneath it all keeps this scent from veering into dimly-lit library territory.

Siamese Cat

Wet, I get the impression of a sweet, peachy fragrance. Once it hits the skin, the tobacco flower and mimosa blossom come through lending a soft floral aspect to it. We had a mimosa tree in our yard growing up, and I can practically feel the little tendrils caressing my cheek. The tea is present as the scent dries a bit more, and is deep with a bit of a tannic edge to it, and the suede is very soft. It gets less sweet as it dries, but never loses the peachy-ness or the florals, they seem to blossom more as it wears.
