The opening thought on this is wise richness in a bottle. The woodland musk sets the stage with a green, atmospheric touch. The moss adds the feeling of a wet forest floor as it blankets the woody oak. I feel enveloped and welcomed by nature. The resinous amber displays as sweet and not spicy in this blend. The dragon’s blood gives a weighty earthiness, adding a ceremonial touch. To me, the sage is not the usual bold note as it can take over it quickly in perfume oils. This is fresh vegetal support to the perfume. The dried persimmon reminds me of a favorite Japanese tea, rich and sweet. I classify this perfume as a medium throw. It’s a pleasant outdoor scent that appeals to me. As time passes on this scent, the blend melds into a more dragon’s blood heavy outdoor experience.

The sage and persimmon are at the foreground when I first put this on, and they really sing against the base notes making the opening of this one bright and sharp. As it dries down, the beautiful amber and musk come forward, warming up the mix beautifully. It feel very classy and sophisticated as it wears, woody and musky but fresh at the same time. Gorgeous.
