Sinister Mist

  • 1995

An inscrutable fog rolls in, blurring the lines and muting the colors. The lamplight is born aloft on a million miniscule droplets. It is the liminal space: the nexus of the Known and the Unknown, where Witches weave reality.
Young teakwood, fresh cut leaves of eucalyptus and spearmint, a scant twist of lime, copal smoke clinging to cashmere, dry white vanilla, and chilled crepuscular musk. Anoint your hands in preparation for spellcraft. Wear to bed for support in lucid dreaming.

Available in 5 ml bottle or 1 ml sample vial.

This is an Archive scent.  We are not planning any more reblends this year, just selling out remaining poured bottles/vials.

A paradoxical dream

This is a mesmeric scent, opening with a bone-dry vanilla spiraling around eucalyptus and spearmint leaves as they float in the air around me. The lime combines with the copal smoke in a way that gives this scent a creamy attribute, leaving me with a feeling of weightlessness as I attempt to discern my dreams from reality. Don’t ask me why, but I imagine if Dana Scully had a signature scent, this would be it. There is a distinct supernatural atmosphere to this with a strangely comforting twist owing to the cashmere and musk which lurk beneath the surface. I’m so glad I ignored the fleeting thought I had about the eucalyptus coming off as an overwhelming spa-type note in this. In no way does Sinister Mist give off this impression. It is unusual in the best way and should be tried by all who find themselves fascinated by the unexplained.
