When You Just Wanna Smell Good!

This scent is absolutely "your-skin-but-better." After getting a delicate whiff of sweet peaches, I found that this perfume settled beautifully in with my skin chemistry. It was hard to detect any specific note after that, but that's just fine, because it just smelled so lovely. This is an anytime, anywhere sort of scent that isn't at all demanding. It's a perfect neutral scent for when you have anything particular to say with your scent; you just want to smell good.

Unexpectedly beautiful

I usually avoid patchouli - it can be a death note for me. However, I'm a complete sucker for honeyed everything, so I picked up a sample of this one just to try. I ended up full sizing it. The patchouli in this is soft, warm, and entirely different than most, and the honeyed peaches are nice and prominent. This one is bright and warm from start to finish. I don't get a lot of the coriander/nutmeg as notes - I think they just contribute to the scent's warm edge. I do get the suede and a bit of peony, and I love the floral/gourmand combination! If golden, peachy pink sunsets had a scent, it would be this. Definitely a scent a princess would wear, but not overly sweet or cloying. Oh, and I'll take that 'cultivate opulent wealthy' benefit, since I'm a grant writer!

First sniff - bright, kind of spicy? Not what I imagined at first. On the skin - I am getting a sun warmed patchouli at first. Not in your face patchouli, very restrained and like it's been bleached by the sun almost. I get a gently sweetened peachy note next (and the spice from the coriander and nutmeg), and the softness of suede coming through and the hint of a floral. This feels golden and soft, slightly sweet but also slightly musky and gives me the impression of sniffing the top of someone's head after they've been out in the sun.
