subtly dark, atmospheric, occult, sexy; that's what comes to mind anytime I wear this one. there's a somewhat dirty quality I really like to this, something born from the woodsy, earthy notes meeting the swampy & marshy ones, but they're all mellowed by beautiful florals. it somehow smells specifically like a deep purple iris. personally I had no idea the moon had a "musk" but I must acknowledge that whatever is popping alongside the cathedral myrrh does add a distinctly nighttime outdoorsy quality I love. ultimately, this is a great perfume for those who like smelling a little witchy, a little gothic. a big success for me!

There's a faint sweet top note - I want to say it's the Magnolia - but it's sweet without being gourmand or overly cloying. Close to the skin / dry down, it turns into a sweet smoky wood and forest floor / loamy-ness that I absolutely love. It's grounding and feels like sleekness slipping through shadows.
