Smugly sophisticated

"Ethereal" is right - this one is elegant, shy, and tantalizing. This is fancy soap at its best ("fancy soap" being quite a compliment in my perfume tastes) and though I mostly don't get any of the notes individually, I occasionally get the faintest hint of pink peppercorn, which gives the overall elegant aura just a bit more body. While it's technically from their Autumn 1 collection, it's perfect all year 'round, and in fact I think it's Nui Cobalt's very best "fancy soap" perfume of their entire catalogue.

Sophisticated femboy beatnik smells

Oh wow… I think I have found a holy grail for my tastes in “scents for the workplace. It’s androgynous, almost leaning on masculine but yet so very pretty and fascinating while clean and fresh. A sophisticated femboy beatnik who smokes clove cigarillos on a stem– that’s how I imagine this one. It feels so artistic– the pink pepper creating tiny flashes and sparks against the sweet peony and soft, fuzzy cashmere. There’s a very light but innocent sensuality: like a daydream of kissing smooth and lightly perfumed skin as the springtime sun rises through white gauzy curtains or taking a sip of a really refreshing iced tea, only lightly sweetened. I realize that’s a lot of nostalgia to squeeze out of a perfume oil but I really do love this, it is such a unique and evocative floral.

Nostalgic

I got this as an early birthday present for my sister, she loves ghosts and cats and pink peppercorn so when she linked this to me, I had to buy it for her. Also because spooky season is here so it was only appropriate. She told me it smells very nostalgic and has a sweet and natural scent and smells like how she would imagine a nice smelling witch would smell LOL

A gentle scent with a touch of elegance

This is such an interesting and beautiful scent. On me, it starts off sharp and pretty perfumey with the pink peppercorn toe beans front and center. Perhaps it’s my imagination given the name, but I almost feel like I’m getting a whiff of fresh kitty litter straight out of the bag. This faded almost as quickly as I noticed it once it began to soften on the dry down. The peonies lend a brilliant freshness while the cashmere and ivory musk combine in the coziest way. It makes me feel like I’m curled up in a bay window seat with a handmade cashmere shawl draped across my shoulders with the ghost of my childhood cat curled at my feet.

Ghost Cat…

The white amber/ivory musk/pink peppercorn combo of Ghost Cat wears surprisingly masculine on me. I’m not getting any cashmere or peony. Don’t get me wrong it works but it’s not what I was expecting at all. I get a good 4 hours out of this perfume oil. So far, of all of the Cat blends I’ve tried, Ginger Cat is my favorite. It contains some of my favorite notes to give you an idea of my scent preferences. Ghost Cat is a nice white amber scent but I’m not in love with it. Now Ginger Cat is another story, my nose led me into love at first sniff.
