Without knowing the notes Rosewater Quince Compote smells like sweet apples, hawthorn and something brown and syrupy sweet. The apple I smell must be the quince. The hawthorn must be the rosewater and the something brown the maple sugar. I was worried as I amp most rose notes but this isn’t too bad. The rose smells of hawthorn and not a powdery old lady rose. This is very floral forward on me. The two basic notes fighting for dominance are the apple aka quince and the hawthorn aka rosewater. If you like roses and apples then this is your jam. This is nice but it’s not a scent that I’d normally wear. I like darker stuff personally but I can appreciate this all the same. I get a sold 5 hours out of this before it fades from my skin. I’d call this a sweet fruity floral perfume oil. This is pretty strong stuff and it just skirts the edge of sending me into a sneezing jag. Nothing against Nui Cobalt as a lot of florals and fruited scents seem to aggravate my allergies.

A note before I write this review - I didn't wear this to attract romantic attention, I wore it with the intent to bring people that were good for me into my life, and to keep out anyone who didn't have my best interests in mind.

A few days after wearing this, my family and I ended up having AC problems, and some friends from out of town had car issues. So what was going to be just a lunch meetup turned into an entire day at their timeshare - a lazy day full of pool time, adult beverages, puzzles, and so much conversation. It turned out they had an extra bedroom, so we actually even ended up staying the night, and hung out some the next day as well.

These are folks I know, but not well, but this time I could feel a difference - the fun and serious conversations really let me see that these are people I'm supposed to be great friends with, and our kids got along so well.

As someone who's friendships have changed the past year or so, it was so wonderful to have had the surprise of making new, wonderful connections! So while the description says its for romantic attraction, this worked amazingly well for friendships, as well. If you're looking to draw soul connections of any sort into your life, don't shy away from this one.
