It's funny how something wet can smell dry and fuzzy, but even when freshly applied, this has that feeling. Like a fuzzy blanket that was just laundered. I get musk, and it is very clear feeling, which when combined with the cotton flower, makes it feel very fresh and sharp in a cooling way. As it dries down, the dry feeling sticks around and the vanilla bean starts to come out, but it's definitely not gourmand or even approaching a food smell. Overall, this does feel like it's namesake - shimmery and delicate. I wore this to bed, and woke up still being able to smell it on my skin, so it's got some staying power, too.

I don't know how Forest did it but this is the scent of clear gossamer swaying in the breeze and morning dewdrops with elegant vanilla. On me, there is something nearly floral and creamy about Starlight & Spider Silk (don't you love all of these poetic and perfectly matched names?). I don't have anything to compare this oil to currently in my vast collection. Wow, this is stunning and I can't help but think of waltzing spirits and one song in particular when I have Starlight & Spider Silk dabbed all over. I can expect 12 hours of sophisticated perfection with this perfume and couldn't have asked for more.

Not sure how Forest captured such a divine scent of moonlit cobwebs, but she did! True to form and with her usual precision, these scents truly evoke visions of sterling cobwebs and moonlit dew, with all the craftiness of a clever arachnid. Am really loving these amazing scents!!
