Sweet and tart

If Prevaricating was a color combo it would be fuschia and lime green. It’s a sweet sugary rose (reminiscent of Rose Jam for any Lush fans) with super tart lime and lychee. I was a little surprised at how sour it smelled to me at first sniff but it’s more mellow on the skin. A really unique scent.

Powdery Lychee Rose

I bought this hoping it’d be similar to Manakara by Indult. I love that scent, but it’s too expensive/I prefer indie. Prevaricating didn’t disappoint! It’s not as sweet as Manakara, but it’s perfectly balanced between the notes and very very pretty. It has a slight powdery feel (which I love), and it’s one of the only rose scents I enjoy!

The perfect marriage of fruity and floral

The lychee reads like of like a tart, green citrus. Here it's paired with the same sugared rose note as in my beloved Love [The softest sugared rose dances with resplendent vanilla in flickering candlelight], and a hint of lime for extra zest. This is an astonishingly lovely scent! Prevaricating is the perfect marriage of fruity and floral, and there's truly something almost gelatinous to this, like the homemade lime curd I made a few summers ago. I would call this much more a "fruit" scent than a "dessert" scent, and I'm anticipating wearing the heck out of it all summer.
