Grey Squirrel ended up wearing a lot cleaner on my skin than I thought it would from the notes listed. It’s not spicy at all. As soon as I apply it to my skin, I get the almond and the apricot. They quickly move to the background as the cashmere and the cotton flower come forward to take center stage. A little goes a long way on my scent eating skin. I have issues amping certain wood notes (especially teak and mahogany) but I don’t have that problem with Grey Squirrel. This scent manages to be a little bit clean, a little bit fruity and a little bit floral all at the same time. To me, this is a year round, any occasion, office friendly scent. The fruit aspect of this makes it a good choice for the warmer weather too. I grabbed this on a whim, curious about the apricot, and I’m so glad I did! I’ve really been impressed with the blending skills of Forest with every perfume oil that I’ve tried thus far. Regardless if a scent works with my chemistry, her notes blend together so well in her scent creations. I will definitely be exploring more scents at Nui Cobalt.
