I never knew how much I needed a baked goods scent for spring and summer until I tried this one. The lavender scones give a warm, buttery backdrop to the coriander and lemon balm. The lemon is just present enough to give it a fresh upturn without going the least bit soapy or Pledge-y. The honey is delightfully realistic without being meady or overbearing. Some honey notes can go powdery, but this is just like getting the barest whiff from an open honey jar. Very well-rounded and positively uplifting.

Simply put The Bee's Knees is one of the most realistic honey and old english lavender oils I have found in the indie realm. On me, this blend is sun-warmed dark golden honey drizzled over sugar-dusted lavender scones, I don't get any cognac or additional herbs and if they are there, they are blended in so seamlessly and expertly. It's magnificent and is a crowning jewel of my vast collection. Every time I wear it I imagine an English garden scene in summer and The Bee's Knees brightens my mood as described. It was love at first sniff and what can I say, I fell hard.

On me, this smells like honeyed lemon balm, coriander seeds, and lavender scones (which are more lavender-forward, but the sugar-crusted scone aspect is evident). The lavender scones end up gaining strength as they sit on my skin, but the lemon balm, coriander, and honey are still pretty prominent as well. This is a super refreshing, uplifting, sweet lemon and lavender blend. I can smell more of the honey and coriander after a few hours of wear. I did not expect to like this one as much as I do! Of the four bees that I've tried, this one was my favorite!
