In East of the Sun, West of the Moon, the Lassie adorns herself in a mantle of conifer boughs as she leaves her childhood home to go and live in gilded captivity. I loved how it communicated her autonomy and true sense of self-worth, regardless of circumstance. Snow-covered spruce, iced cedar tips, golden pine sap, icicle musk, and the fading memory of tea by the fireside.

Jammy evergreen and incensey black tea

A warm, almost fruity evergreen featuring spruce (my nose even specifies: blue spruce), with only the faintest hint of pine. I'm interpreting the black tea as incense (probably because I love Nui Cobalt's incense + black tea blends so much and I have several of them that I wear frequently). Cloak of Evergreens is so lovely, and it came right when I was about to give up hope of liking tree perfumes at all

East of the Sun, West of the moon was a story my grandma loved dearly and read to my mother, who read it to me. When she passed I had the title tattooed on my arms, so when I saw this I had to smell it, and it did not disappoint. It's fresh and warm, like sitting in an castle spinning wool and sipping tea, but there's a depth from the forest notes that takes it to a whole new place. I wonder if it will draw my white bear to me...

Twin Peaks vibes

I’ve seen this scent recommended before for those looking for a Twin Peaks scent. Since Twin Peaks is one of my all time favorite shows, I knew Cloak of Evergreens needed to be mine. If you’ve been looking for a cold winter air scent without any mint, you have to try this one. I had my boyfriend try to guess the notes and he’s getting cherry pipe tobacco and incense. I see what he means about the cherry as there really is something fruity lying in this blend. Perhaps it’s coming from Agent Cooper’s slice of cherry pie. The incense he smells seems to be coming from the tea note, but it’s a bit sweeter to my nose. The distinctive smell of evergreens put me in the mood to put up our Yule tree and bring some light inside as we enter another cold and dark winter.

Starts with sweet evergreens, like a spruce jam with a hint of incense to trail. It's gorgeous and I haven't tried anything like it before. Not overly gourmand. Not too serious on the evergreens.

My sleep time scent.

I got a sample vial of this and i made my own body oil out of equal parts jojoba, apricot, Grape seed, and almond oil. I added my sample in. I've had it for months now and the scent is really strong and relaxing. I put it on before bed. It smells like sweet pine trees. Love it, I'll probably get it again next winter
