I wanted to sample something a little different from NC with this one. I usually go for the rich, warm, suede-y skin scents. This definitely goes against the grain. It opens up with the bright, zesty lime and lightly floral elderflower. The silver musk feels like the way moonlight reflects on dampened leaves. It gives this scent a silvery feel. The lavender is indeed a very green rendition - not the typical, fully bloomed variety. A bit more of a spring lavender. The coconut water and gardenia play exceptionally well with each other. Coconut water to me has always had a slightly musty quality to it; not at all in a bad way though. Perhaps an earthiness. It's almost like what I want patchouli to be, honestly. The gardenia doesn't take it over, which is nice as in my experience it can rule the roost with an indolic fist. Overall this scent isn't what I expected AT ALL in the very best way possible.

Light and airy, I definitely get lime straight away, but it's not overpowering, and as that recedes I get lavender and the elderflower and gardenia - nice white florals that are a tad creamy. The silver musk lies underneath everything kind of bringing it together. This one didn't last long on me, flittering away like the butterfly of it's namesake, but it is very clean and pretty while wearing.

This is so beautiful and light, somehow it makes me feel like I’m floating. Sweet, creamy florals and a zesty hint of fresh lime combine to create my ideal summery scent. The florals fade rather quick on me, leaving a slightly salty skin musk in their wake which also seems to disappear faster than I'd like. I've been applying it with different techniques to get it to last longer because it is truly beautiful and I desperately want it to last all day!
