Love <3

I love this scent. Its my absolute favorite from Nui Cobalt. It was actually the first scent I ever went ahead and bought a back up bottle because I never wanted to run out of it. I was saddened when it wasn't part of this years critters release again because I intended to buy some more of it.

As for the actual smell, what can I say about it that "I love it" doesn't already encompass how I feel about it. It makes me feel confident, strong -empowered when I wear it. Its my absolute favorite scent to wear on grey overcast days, or chilly windy days, and one I reach out to wear the most from my collection.

Its a scent that I definitely would consider unisex, and a scent that from its notes you would assume would be cold and cool, but its surprisingly warm and kind cuddly (kinda like a wolfs coat in snow I imagine) Not one of its notes really overpowers the other, they are all blended in perfect harmony bringing out the best in each.

Please please bring it back :D

Gimme

A steely scent, for sure. Cold, calculating, and penetrating. White sandalwood really does have a different feel than the sandalwood I'm used to finding in Nui's fragrances, it definitely has a lighter feel to it. The cashmere and stone musk come out next for me, and work together so well, and the white peppercorn tickles the back of my nose a bit. The birchwood doesn't go wintergreen-y like it usually does in scents, I'm guessing that's what being softly smoked does for it. The suede is nice and soft, and the mountain springwater doesn't have the typical cologne like feel that aquatics usually take on for me, it's nice and fresh and real smelling. The amber starts coming out for me as the scent has dried down and wears for a while, but overall, this is very clean smelling, more masculine than feminine (but not at all unwearable for femme leaning individuals because it loses that masculine edge as it wears longer), and absolutely a power scent. It evokes the image of a grey wolf perfectly. I want my lover to wear this.

Mysterious, captivating and a bit seductive

Grey Wolf is a fantastic representation of one of my favourite animals. On opening it's cold and a bit sweet smelling with a distinct clean masculine element to this blend. Then the peppercorn melds in with the coolness of the sage, a soft trace of smoke and cashmere I recognize from other treasured vials and bottles from by Nui Cobalt, all creating the impression of a dappled grey, white and black coat slipping from the shadows. A slight greenness of lichen peeks out if I close my eyes and concentrate. For me, the true magic hits when a soft magnetic combination of smokey suede and creamy sandalwood appears on the dry down that reminds me of a great deal of Mourning Veil and Grey Wolf morphs a bit more feminine. You would think all of these listed notes would amplify and overtake a room but Forest does it again, as Grey Wolf is another glowing aura type of blend, that stays close to the skin while somehow projecting your inner self and you feel you can do anything.
