I really love this one and am glad I chose to sample it just based purely off the opoponax. This is green but it’s not abrasive, soapy, grassy, or anything banal. I feel like this is the forest scent of my dreams. But like the forest of a dark fairytale. Normally I don’t do herbaceous - but here the herbs are rounded out by those resins and musk. Truly wonderful combination. Yes as it’s warming to my skin that golden opoponax is becoming more obvious - for those that don’t know that note it’s like golden powder benzoin (resin/vanilla like) deliciousness, like Shalimar. So this has a classic vintage vibe to it but instead of Shalimar’s lemon, we have witchy green herbs. This is like Hollywood glamour meets witchcraft and the woods. I think I’m in love! I have a bunch of opoponax favorites but I think I still need a bottle of this because it’s like their outcast green sister! There’s something zingy about it as well, like a “wake up” tonic.
