As described, it is a loaf of homemade spiced pumpkin bread, very real and very cozy. At this point I am wondering how Nui Cobalt got me to request so many gourmands in this sample set which I normally would not gravitate toward based on name and description alone and I think that’s a definite talent. With that said, this is an absolute win for me because it’s such a pleasant dessert bread scent without the cavities. The caramel is just there to cushion the spices, while the pumpkin and orange create a perfect autumn mood. Lovely, just lovely.

First Sniff: Light brown sugar and orange zest.

Initial Wet Application: Sugary orange candy. Faint gentle ginger lazing in the background. Maybe a tiny bit of the pumpkin bread too?

Dry Down (first 15 minutes): As it dries, it's very light and I’m worried it's going to fade away into nothingness so I swiped it twice just to be sure. As it completed the dry down I’m getting warm cardamom.

My Reaction: This has a warm and comforting smell. There’s a slightly familiar undertone in this that reminds me of Pagan shops; it's not the in-your-face of patchouli, but the comforting background scent of old paper and magic. The pumpkin bread and caramel weren’t strong and I would have enjoyed more bitey ginger, but the cardamom was nice. Mostly this was warm cardamom. I like it for the association with ginger cats!

Ginger Cat is so good. It’s a cold rainy October day here and GC is the perfect scent. The notes are some of my favorites and every one is noticeable on the skin. This eventually settles into a caramelized ginger/pumpkin bread smell with heavy emphasis on the caramel. This is still going strong at the 4 hour mark but even if it wasn’t Ginger Cat is worthy of a full size purchase. I don’t need anymore time to decide about this perfume oil. When you know, you know!

I have been in an unshakeable funk for the last few weeks, and today I was able to test this scent. While it doesn't work on me, smell-wise, the feeling I get from it is absolutely wonderful! The crankiness has gone away, I find myself smiling, and I feel almost physically lighter. I bet this'll be great on a candle, or in a warmer, to lighten up the entire house!

sneezy ginger, plump raisins that are sort of rum raisin boozy, sweet in the top then then orange and jam shine through like a marmalade drying down to a pumpkin spice baked good then back to ginger and cardamom with marmalade then dries down more to a clove scent with that sort of plastic carrier oil fragrance. I find that with everything I have sampled so far in this house. I don't get apricot at all. This is great for Halloween and the pumpkin spice time of year. You gotta love spice on this one. I do!
