I actually got Northern Cardinal for the pear note. It didn’t seem to develop on my skin but everything else did and I love this perfume oil. The notes mesh together so well in this. Maybe the pear is there but my nose can’t single it out? I agree with Sheri’s review...the spiced currant preserves in this smell divine. Once again, it doesn’t take much and it’s still going strong at the 8 hour mark. From the notes I was thinking of this as a cold weather scent before I even tried it. It’s mid July and I’ve been rocking Northern Cardinal in the heat with no problems. NC is a sweet scent but I wouldn’t call this a gourmand. Although my reasoning is that it’s only a gourmand if it makes me hungry, hehe which is nobody’s rule but my own.

Just as pretty as it’s namesake

A gently persistent song that keeps me on task. Not overbearing, but a kind, sweet note to remind me that the Sun is moving through the sky and there is work to be done before it sets.

Perfectly blended, neither strongly gourmand nor woody, both parts contributing equally. The spiced currant is especially lovely.
