Origin Story (2021) opens with an incredibly fresh and herbaceous burst. The elderflower and lavender lend it a bright, floral tone, which is beautifully tempered by oat straw and hay. The latter notes allow it to lean *almost* unisex, though the subtle, crisp sweetness of pear lends it a distinctly feminine edge. Nevertheless, the overall effect is far from cloying; instead, its herbal tones dance brightly and beautifully with wisps of grass and subtle fruit. Altogether, this fragrance conveys a sense of optimism, youthfulness, adventure, and vision. Finally, there's something faintly aquatic, though not oceanic, about this fragrance. It conjures in me a vision of a heroine who, whilst traversing bright and sunlit early-summer fields, wanders upon a bubbling brook. Here, she settles down to journal, bathe, and find refreshing respite.
