Witching in the Graveyard

  • 1995

The scent of a graveyard on the first frost. 18th century Witches in heeled leather boots tread silently across brittle grass to pluck yew berries from gravestones. Before crossing back through the cold iron gates, they leave payment of silver coins and good whiskey. The mineral scent of freshly turned earth, amber musk, cocobolo wood, moss-covered oak, petrichor, vetiver, bourbon, and hay.

Available in 5 ml bottle or 1 ml sample vial.

This is an Archive scent.  We are not planning any more reblends this year, just selling out remaining poured bottles/vials.

An instant favorite of mine

I was able to try a sample of Witching In The Graveyard and I immediately fell in love. It’s cold, earthy, and evokes memories I must have from a past life. It opens with wet soil and rain soaked gravestones that are beautifully realistic. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled cocobolo wood, but the wood note in this is heavenly. The moss-covered oak, the bourbon, the hay… it’s all there and blended to perfection. The atmosphere is exactly as described. I can actually hear the old iron gate creak open and feel the frosted grass crunching underfoot as I embark through the graveyard with my coven. I would’ve ordered a full size immediately if it weren’t sold out, so I reached out to Forest on Instagram to see if she had plans to restock it in the near future. She let me know that it wasn’t on the list to return for Halloween, but that she would check on the ingredients and whip up a small batch if she had everything. I was ecstatic when I got the Halloween Sneak Preview email and found it on the list. I was able to snag a full size as soon as it dropped and I’m still feeling warm and fuzzy over that level of customer service from Forest.
