I don’t know why but my nose is interpreting a very strong plum note in Blackberry Peach Preserves. Upon immediate application I can detect a light blackberry note that quickly morphs to plum (that stays that way on both my skin and clothing). This is a fresh peach (not candied nor preserved in thick syrup), some kind of subdued spice and dark succulent deep purple plum. Sadly not even a trace of this is left at the 3 hour mark, it’s like I never applied perfume oil at all. My skin gobbles BPP right up. I’m not so mad about it since it’s not coming across on me the way I was expecting. I smell plum in this and it’s throwing me. I swear that there’s some kind of blossom note in this as well…plum or peach blossom? Also BPP wasn’t nearly as sweet as I was expecting. It’s all good though because it works. This reads more fresh fruit than sugary preserves to me. Three star rating for poor longevity and strange plum note. It’s not a total fail but it’s not anything like the scent I was expecting.
