In the bottle and on the skin, there’s some spiciness coming through in this one. It’s very suitable for fall and fits right in with their Autumn collections despite being a part of their Big Island & Dances collection. Pueo has some serious warmth to it. The nuttiness of the macadamia and the creamy coconut stand out while wet. There’s a coolness that comes through shortly into the dry down that seems to be wafting in with the copal smoke while the teakwood makes it a rich and woodsy scent. I love it on me, but I think I would love it even more on my boyfriend. The suede and musk combine in the softest way as this starts to fade on my skin, leaving a soft and gentle scent imperceptible to anyone but me.

I ordered this on a whim, I was intrigued by the description but I certainly wasn't expecting this to be my favorite sample from my whole order! All the notes are present and they add up to a warm, soft scent that is a little woody and a little beachy with the feather musk adding a bit of a dusty quality to it that really softens everything up. If you're afraid of leather notes I would tell you that in this blend it is the softest, more luxurious suede possible. It adds a subtle warmth, no harsh tannins. The copal is present but subdued. There are no sharp edges in this blend. This is a wonderful "warm" scent for summer, it isn't cloying, heavy, or overpowering in the slightest. I'm expecting to be able to wear this well into the fall which is a bonus as well. I rarely, rarely full size things but this one is a winner! It has regular projection for an oil, and great longevity which is a must for me. This hits the nail on the head on the idea of the pueo owl, total scent magic. I think that this is a sleeper hit from the whole critters collection.
