Brunch on the Lanai

Brunch on the Lanai

  • 1995

A luxurious scent to attract wealth and pleasure in all of its forms. Mimosas, french toast with lilikoi preserves, and the gentlest hint of pikake on the breeze though sheer cotton curtains.

This is an Archive scent.  We are not planning any more reblends this year, just selling out remaining poured bottles/vials. There is a 2021 blend available also.

Available in 5 ml bottle & 1 ml sample vials

Kid's Table on the Linai v.2: Uncharismatic Boogaloo

First off, for what it's worth, I absolutely messed up the title on another scent I tried and called it that. Fans (all... three of my cats?) will now this fun little tidbit. Onto the review!

In the bottle: Boozy, almost Disaronno-esque? That's probably the french toast? I kinda like it, but that's all I'm getting. Almost harsh booziness with sweetness.

Wet: Maple booze. That's... something? I guess good maple syrup does have a sort of strong something that gives it an almost liquor-adjacent quality to my nose. I was just hoping for... something else. Maybe dry?

Dry: Good news! The booze is gone! Bad news... it's kinda gone. There's a very faint hint of the maple french-toastiness that I could get through earlier, and... maaaaaybe an undertone of something floral? But I think it's the cotton curtains. It smells of laundry being down a few doors down. It's only fifteen minutes later. This is disappointing.

Final Verdict for Me: One out of five sticky plates. Alas, as a fan of lilikoi and pikake, I was psyched about this, but it mostly comes across as somebody's laundry and good eggos. I'm not sorry I tried lunch, but I doubt I'll go back for seconds.

Brunch On The Lanai

I have always loved the word "lanai" and, as a Taurus, I also wholeheartedly embrace the concept of brunch. The mimosas come out strong with this one, full of bubbly champagne and cheerful orange juice. As it dries down, the fluffy, warm French Toast with hints of maple and powdered sugar come through strongly and deliciously, and you get hints of this soft, clean laundry scent as well. It's sort of atmospheric, and this lovely mix of sweet and clean. It's warm and full of sunshine and cheer. A perfect brunch date and sundresses type of scent!
