My first impression is of a mildly heady fougère with the juniper making a loud but short-lived entrance. That fresh pine quickly fades into the background, allowing for the creaminess of a light amber to glow faintly, beyond it— which is good as I’m not too into pine but the “ivory satin” note was too fascinating to pass up in this recipe. The clove is potent, although it is only noticeable up close, its soft sillage staying cool and clean. It’s chilly and herbal, like sliding on a heavy vintage wool coat with a cold viscose satin lining, a soft fur collar and matching cuffs. Christmas mass in New England is what my mind’s eye sees; atmospheric for a Gilmore Girls holiday episode.

Nui Cobalt does herbal scents like no other and the stars of this blend are the realistic calming lavender and clove with coriander that adds just a touch of mystery and the unexpected to this oil. After a little aging the "ivory satin" impression comes out to steal the show and overall I can't stop smelling my wrist and imaging classy ladies from various literature attending a gala event decked out all in glistening crystals and creamy white. If you love creamy cool scents, Diamonds in the Snow is a must to have.

I bought this with some trepidation - it’s got a few scents that usually don’t work on me (lavender and clove), but the magical properties were something I very much need at times.
This scent is absolutely gorgeous on me. It’s a flowery Christmas and I just love it.
Immediately after putting it on I felt calm and confident. Very peacefully sure of myself and who I am.
