Smells like wet grass and stone, with a touch of sweet lavender.

Opening notes to this wet is lavender, it’s a sparkling and lustrous scent with an herbal undertone. I like it, this is discernible to me as a sleep or relaxing scent. My ideal relaxation scent is Lavender, so this fits me. The notes of Gargoyle also hold onto the resins, which deepen this blend to a more variegated blend. I can discern the outdoors, petrichor. One hour later, I trace the rain, now it’s become an atmospheric. This scent is still airy and light.

This is a Powerhouse of a scent. I wore it to work once and my coworkers still bring it up, it was such a hit. This scent is gorgeous and so soothing. It is excellently blended, somehow seeming both simple and complex. It invokes images of an old abandoned building in damp woods that's been reclaimed by nature, or perhaps a very old stonework church, all it's candles burning and it's doors wide open as it rains outside. I can smell that rain drenched lavender so clearly, though it is never overpowering and the beeswax candles provide the perfect backdrop to round off the scent. I saw someone's review refer to this smelling "solemn" and I didn't know that had a scent but if it does, this is it. Gothic, witchy perfection.

Getting this sample has been my first experiment in buying perfume and I can confidently say I made the right decision! This scent was exactly what I was looking for, something rainy smelling with a bright chill to it. After putting this on and letting it dry a drizzly morning comes to mind, the smooth beeswax being complimented with a stony lavender sets the perfect mood for cozy reading. I can’t wait to explore more with these beautiful scents <3

Mostly incense (gosh, I love Nui Cobalt's cathedral incense so much) paired with the strong herbal effect of the lavender, with hints of beeswax and stone to make it solemn. It feels beautifully scholarly. I wear this one especially in autumn or on rainy days.
